Role overview

We are looking for a Driver to manage and carry out the collection and delivery of machinery, primarily within Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. This role supports both our Sales and Aftersales Departments at multiple sites.

The equipment transported will include compact tractors, utility vehicles, and mowing equipment, using a 7.5-tonne lorry.

Essential Duties:

• Plan and execute collection and delivery runs efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Transport goods and equipment to and from customer premises or designated locations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth collection and delivery operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and collections.
• Comply with legal requirements, including maintaining tachograph charts, driver logs, and other necessary records.
• Follow proper post-delivery procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, report any issues, and maintain necessary records.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained.

The role requires you to act in a professional manner and actively promote the Ripon Group with positivity and integrity. Knowledge of horticultural equipment would be preferred but full training on products and systems and will be provided. 

You will be required to have a Class 2 licence, ideally with experience of driving a 7.5 tonne lorry as a minimum and experience of towing.
