Experienced Parts Person

Job Function:

Responsible for the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, delivers in-store customer service, overall organizational promotional and stocking duties.

Essential Duties:
1.Promotes and sells parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
2.Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
3.Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise display.
4.Verifies receipt of incoming shipments and assists with locating Machine Down and Stock Orders in their correct location.
5.Follows up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Outlet Parts Manager.
6.Executes sales parts marketing plans and shares ideas for future campaigns.
7.Executes telemarketing sales operations.
8.Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administration tasks.
9.Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly and well organized.

Skills & Qualifications:
Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry
Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions
Excellent customer relationship skills
Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work extended hours and weekends

Service Apprectice - Ottringham

Job Function:

Learns the Service Technician’s role, alternating time between a dedicated technical training and the Dealership. Works with a mentor or unaccompanied on basic repairs of agricultural and/or turf equipment under the direction of the Outlet Service Manager. Performs additional online training to attain the necessary Service Certification by the end of the apprentice period.

Essential  Duties:

1.            Performs basic service tasks & develops skills in removal, disassembly and reconditioning of components.
2.            Assists Technicians as needed.
3.            Reports weekly to a mentor or Outlet Service Manager regarding ongoing activities and progression.
4.            Learns to maintain the condition of inventory, tools and equipment.
5.            Learns to maintain a clean work area and performs work in a professional, neat and orderly fashion.
6.            Uses and wears the appropriate safety equipment provided
7.            May be required to complete other tasks required by the business as part of their development including safe transportation of equipment, valeting machinery, yard work etc.
8.            Learns to complete reports (DTAC), job cards and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
9.            Participates in Service Training programs required, mostly DLMs, for the development of skills and knowledge.
10.          Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
11.          Spends time in all departments to understand the workings of a Dealership.
12.          Acts in a professional manner and actively promotes Ripon Farm Services and John Deere with positivity and integrity

Outlet Working Supervisor - Darrington
(Reporting to Outlet Service Manager)

Job Function:
Executes customer requests by coordinating and directing the service workload for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work. Shares information regarding Technician skills and training needs to the Outlet Service Manager. Aftermarket sales oriented. Carry’s out repair work to maximize sales and support technicians

Essential  Duties:
1. Greets customers and listens carefully to their needs.
2. Plans and allocates work for Technicians based on their expertise and skills.
3. Directs and assists Technicians in their tasks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
4. Checks all completed jobs to ensure they are complete and accurate for both parts and labour, and invoices them in a timely manner,with the support of admin and Outlet Manager
5. Ensures that service processes, policies and guidelines are followed and applied safely.
6. Responsible for the special tool inventory and recommends the purchase of new tools if necessary to the service manager
7. Maintains good discipline and organisation for the workshop, ensuring it is clean, tidy and safe, and monitors the workshop team.
8. Shares daily discussions with the  Service Manager to review workshop performance and to address any specific issues.
9. Coordinates the training program with the  Service Manager and ensures that tasks given to Technicians are consistent with their expertise.
10. Ensures PDI delivery times are met for the sales department
11. Liaises with all departments, especially parts for pre-picking and maximizing of discount levels
12. Maintains ongoing relationships with John Deere and manufacturer personnel.
13. Supervises and coaches the workshop team.
14.  Acts in a professional manner and actively promotes Ripon Farm Services and John Deere with positivity and integrity and communicates effectively with all parties to drive the business forward

Skills & Qualifications:
– 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Service Technician
– Ability to lead others
– High level of communication and human relations
– Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions
– Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
– Able to work under pressure
– Ability to work extended hours and weekends
